Ingredients For peach fritters

  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2 lg
    eggs, well beaten
  • 1/3 c
    butter
  • 2 c
    flour, unbleached
  • 3 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    milk, whole
  • 1/2 tsp
    lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c
    fresh chopped peaches
  • whipped cream

How To Make peach fritters

  • 1
    Cream the butter and sugar, add the eggs and beat thoroughly.
  • 2
    Sift dry ingredients together and add the milk slowly.
  • 3
    Fold in peaches, lemon juice and vanilla.
  • 4
    Drop by teaspoonfuls into hot fat. Fry golden brown. Serve with whipped cream or sprinkle with powdered sugar.
