This is one of my father in law's favorite cakes and I can make it in a hurry. I often make it with my own pound cake recipe or you can use a frozen(thawed) cake. When peaches are in season,I slice 2 c fresh peaches,season with sugar and cinnamon.

Ingredients For peach cake

  • 1 9x5-inch pound cake
  • 16 oz cream cheese,softened
  • grated peel of 1 orange
  • juice of 1 orange
  • 3 t. sugar
  • 16 oz can peach slices,drained

How To Make peach cake

  • 1
    Beat cream cheese until smooth. Beat in orange peel,juice and sugar. Slice cake in halves lengthwise. Spread bottom layer of cake with half of the cream cheese mixture. Top with half of the peach slices. Cover with remaining cake layer and top with remaining cheese and peach slices. Refrigerate until ready to serve
