I love coconut, packs of orange slices, dates, and pecans. Have to admit the first time I ate this cake was the first time I had cooked with orange slices.

Ingredients For orange slice cake

1 cbutter or margarine

2 csugar
-
1/2 cbuttermilk
-
3 1/2 cflour
-
1 pkgchopped dates

4eggs

1 tspsoda

2 cpecans, chopped

1 pkgorange slices, chopped

1 canor 1/2 bag of coconut
- GLAZE

2 c10x confectioner's sugar

1/2 corange juice
-
2 Tbsporange rind
How To Make orange slice cake

1Combine butter, sugar, buttermilk, eggs, soda in large mixing bowl. Add flour slowly blending in well.

2Add dates, pecans, orange slices, and coconut.

3Bake 2 hours in tube pan at 250. When you take it out of the oven, while hot pour glaze over it.

4Glaze: in saucepan combine orange juice, rind, and confectioner's sugar and bring to boil. Pouring it on hot cake. Serve hot or cold. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.
