I love this cake in the summer, it's just refreshing. It taste just like an Orange Dream sickle pop sickle that I used to get when the ice cream truck would come. YUMMY!!

Ingredients For orange dreamsicle cake

  • 1 pkg
    lemon cake mix
  • 1
    envelope unsweetened orange drink mix
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1/3 c
    canola oil
  • 2 pkg
    orane gelatin, (3 oz. each) divided
  • 1 c
    boiling water
  • 1 c
    cold water
  • 1 c
    cold milk
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 pkg
    instant vanilla pudding mix (3.4 oz)
  • 1
    carton frozen whipped topping, thawed (8 oz.)

How To Make orange dreamsicle cake

    In a mixing bowl; combine cake and drink mixes, eggs, water and oil. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour into an ungreased 13x9 baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center of the cake comes out clean.

    Using a metal fork, poke holes in the cake. Cool on a wire rack for 30 minutes. Meanwhile; In a mixing bowl, dissolve one package of gelatin in boiling water. Stir in cold water, Pour over cake. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.

    In a mixing bowl; combine milk, vanilla extract, pudding mix and remaining gelatin. Beat on low for 2 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes; fold in whipped topping; Spread evenly onto cake. Refrigerate leftovers.
