- ORANGE CAKE:

1/2 cbutter, softened

1/4 cmilk

1/4 cfresh squeezed orange juice

2 lgeggs

3/4 cgranulated sugar (superfine, if possible)

1 1/2 cself-rising flour, sifted

1 Tbspfresh orange zest
- ORANGE ICING:

1/3 cbutter, softened
-
1 1/2 cconfectioners' sugar

2 Tbspfresh squeezed orange juice

1/2 Tbspfresh orange zest
How To Make orange cake with orange icing

1Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Butter an 8x5-inch loaf pan or an 8-inch tube pan; set aside.

2Combine all cake ingredients and beat thoroughly for 3 minutes with electric mixer. Pour batter into prepared cake pan.

3Bake in center of oven for 30 to 40 minutes. Cool on wire rack. When cooled, invert onto serving platter.

4To make the icing: Combine all the icing ingredients and mix thoroughly. Use icing to frost the cooled orange cake.
