    flour
  • 1 1/3 c
    sugar

    eggs
  • 3/4 c
    milk
  • 1/2 c
    olive oil
  • 1/4 c
    heavy cream
  • 2 Tbsp
    orange zest
  • 1 tsp
    yeast
  • 1/2 tsp
    sea salt
  • SYRUP
  • 1
    orange
  • 3 c
    orange juice
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • TOPPING
  • 1/3 c
    pine nuts

How To Make olive oil and orange cake

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees brush 8 inch cake pan with olive oil and dust with flour mixed with sugar

    Beat eggs with sugar for 4 min add milk olive oil , cream and zest
  • 3
    mix flour yeast and salt together then incorporate into batter mix well let batter rest 20 min

    pour batter into pan bake 30 min till toothpick inserted n center comes out clean let cool and remove from pan

    for syrup...remove zest from orange . place zest sugar and orange juice in pan ...heat and cook till thickened about 1 hour

    strain syrup and pour over cake allow to soak in

    lightly toast pine nuts
  • 8
    arrange orange segments on cake and sprinkle with pine nuts
