This is a dense, but very moist cake, and so easy to make. It's not overpowering with chocolate. Fluffy frosting mixes up in seconds. Change up the pudding in the frosting to your liking. I used vanilla tonight. Mix all in one bowl, and no eggs. My photo's

6 Tbspbaking cocoa

2 tspbaking soda

1 tspsalt

2 cwater

2/3 cvegetable oil

2 tspvinegar

2 tspvanilla extract
- FROSTING

1 cmilk
-
1 pkg(3.9 ounces) instant chocolate pudding mix - or whatever flavor you prefer

1(8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed
How To Make wacky chocolate depression cake

1In a bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Add the water, oil, vinegar and vanilla. Beat on low speed for 1 minute. Beat on medium for 1 minute.

2Pour into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.

3For frosting, in a bowl, beat the milk and pudding mix for 2 minutes. Beat in whipped topping. Spread over cake. Refrigerate leftovers.
