Ingredients For oatmeal cake

1 cquick cooking oats

1 stickbutter
-
1 1/4 cboiling water

1 cbrown sugar, firmly packed

1 csugar

1 1/3 cflour

2eggs
-
1 tspcinnamon

1 tspvanilla extract

1 tspbaking soda

1/4 craisins
- ICING
-
1 ccoconut, flaked
-
1/4 csweetened condensed milk

1/2 stickbutter
-
1 cbrown sugar, firmly packed
How To Make oatmeal cake

1Combine oats, 1 stick butter and boiling water. Let stand 20 minutes. Set aside

2Combine 1 cup brown sugar with remaining ingredients 1 at a time .

3Add oats

4Bake 350 degrees for 35 minutes in a 8x8 pan, or until an inserted knife comes out clean.

5For icing: Mix together 1 cup brown sugar, 1/2 stick butter, sweetened milk and coconut

6When cake is done spread this mixture over top of cake and return to oven set on broil but watch it carefully as it will burn quickly
