so i love short cuts some times if you loved baked Alaska you will love this much easier idea!

Ingredients For "not baked" alaska

  • 1 pkg
    store bought pound cake pre cooked
  • 2 c
    chocolate ice cream slightly softened
  • 1 pkg
    8 oz cool whip thawed
  • 1/4 c
    toasted coconut

How To Make "not baked" alaska

  • 1
    cut your cake lengthwise into 3 layers. take bottom layer and place it on your serving plate; spread 1 cup of chocolate ice cream over the cake.

    then place second layer of cake on top of your ice cream layer then top that layer of cake with remaining ice cream. place third layer of cake on top of the newest ice cream layer press down gently on cake layer.

    frost top and sides of cake with whip cream,then sprinkle coconut evenly on the top of the cake.

    you can either serve it right away or freeze it i recommend freezing for 2 hrs before serving, but it is not needed.
