This recipe was passed on down to me by my mother.And now to both of my daughters.I have changed it a little,but it still has the same great taste. And everyone asks me to make Cheese cake for all occations.

Ingredients For new york cheesecake

  • 3 pkg
    cream cheese
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 5 lg
    eggs
  • 15 oz
    container sour cream
  • 1/2 c
    sugar for sour cream mixture
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make new york cheesecake

    Soften cream cheese to room temp. Add sugar 1 cup. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating on med speed until, well blended and cream cheese mixture is smooth.

    Grease a springform pan,with cooking spray and a little flour. Pour batter into pan. Place in 350 degree oven for about 40 minutes. When light brown remove from oven and mix the 1/2 cup of sugar with the sour cream. Place on top of cake and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Remove from oven let cool.Refrigerate for about 3 hours or overnight.
