This was my Nana's pound cake recipe. If we were lucky there would be some left to have toasted with butter.

3 csugar

2 stickbutter

1/4 cvegetable shortening

4eggs

1 cmilk

1 tspvanilla extract

1 tspalmond extract

3 ccake flour unsifted
How To Make nana's pound cake

1Cream butter and shortening. Add sugar and cream together. Add eggs one at a time. Mix thoroughly after each egg. Add milk, flour and flavorings. Mix together.

2Set oven at 300 degrees, do not preheat oven. Bake 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes

3You can substitute margine for butter but tastes better with real butter.

4My daughter and Nana always use a bunt pan. A couple of loaf pans would work also.
