Ingredients For nana's pound cake

  • 3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 3 c
    sugar
  • 1 stick
    butter salted
  • 1 stick
    butter flavor shortening (crisco)
  • 5
    eggs
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make nana's pound cake

    Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

    Mix sugar, butter, and butter flavor Crisco. Mix till lite and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Mix well after each egg is added.

    Sift together flour and baking powder. Add Flour and milk alternating. Add vanilla.

    Spray pound cake or bunt cake pan with cooking spray. Then coat with flour. Pour cake batter in pan . Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 30 mins.
