This is a yelllow fruit cake. When sliced it looks like stained glass. Wonderful flavor and everyone's favorite.

Ingredients For my grandma's fruit cake

2 csugar
-
1 lbbutter (no substitute)

7egg yolks, well beaten

4 call purpose flour
-
1 1/2 ozlemon extract
-
1 ozvanilla extract
-
1 lbred cherries, candied (cut in half)

1 lbgreen cherries, candied (cut in half)
-
1 lbpineapple candied (chopped)
-
1 1/2 lbpecans, in pieces
-
7egg whites,beaten till stiff
How To Make my grandma's fruit cake

1Cream butter and sugar then add egg yolks and most of flour and extract.

2Dredge fruit and nuts with 1 cup flour.

3Pour butter mixture over fruit and mix well.

4Fold (with hands) egg whites into batter.

5Bake 275 degrees 1 1/2 to 2 hours in 10 inch greased and floured pan or loaves. Line bottom of pans with wax paper.
