mug cake base recipe with variations
Sometimes I want a sweet and it's late and I'm not baking a cake at midnight lol Tried the box single mugs and some homemade but the texture was off spongy rubbery. Well I figured it out the other night. Cakes have eggs and oil of some type. Can't use an entire egg so. Mayonnaise! You can't taste it but it gives the mug cake a kick to being just like a cake you'd slice. Moist great texture! As for flavor this is the base. Swap water for.. Lemonade and blueberries.. Coffee and cocoa powder.. Coconut and pineapple juice.. Orange juice .. options are endless. Sugar you can adjust to your level

1/4 call purpose flour

1-2 Tbspsugar

1 pinchbaking soda

1 pinchbaking powder

1 pinchsalt

3-4 Tbspadd ins . fruit. chocolate whatever ya like
How To Make mug cake base recipe with variations

1Mix dry ingredients and add mayonnaise. Mix

2Add 3 tbsp of liquid. Water. Milk or other as discussed in about section. If it's to thick add the 4th. It should be thick but should pour off spoon ..not watery thou when spoon is lifted mix well

3Add fruits or chocolate if adding and stir

4Microwave 1 1/2 minutes - 2 minutes .. it will be glossy on top and not liquid batter

5You can put chocolate on top and let rest a couple minutes. Spread chocolate and eat

6For glaze 1tbsp milk or juice 1/4 powder sugar. Couple drops of Vanilla extract

7For an icing. 1 tbsp soft butter couple drops of Vanilla extract. 1 tbsp milk or juice 1/3 c powder sugar. Mix the butter and liquid a bit add sugar and mix it up until smooth. I just use a fork . Top your mug cake
