I love this recipe because it is absolutely gorgeous and not TOO SWEET! I made our second Black Magic Chocolate cake yesterday and frosted it with this. My hubby and I both prefer it to a chocolate frosting. This is an absolutely PERFECT CAKE now! Thank you, Lisa Glass!!!

2egg whites @ room temp

pinchcreme of tartar

1 cupgranulated sugar

4 TBsplight corn syrup

3 TBspwater

1/4 tspsalt

1 tsppure vanilla extract
How To Make mother stern's fluffy white frosting

1Put egg whites and creme of tartar in mixing bowl and beat until stiff (but not dry)

2In a small saucepan put the sugar, corn syrup,water and salt. Stirring constantly, bring mixture to a boil and cook until the thin thread stage---that is a thin thread forms when lifting the spoon out of the pan.

3Turn mixer on and slowly beat the hot syrup into the egg whites.

4Add vanilla and beat frosting until it is cool and stiff peaks will hold.

5Spread on cooled cake.
