This has become one of the best summer desserts that I serve.It is light and tasty with fresh summer fruit. My mom loved angel food cake,and fresh summer fruit,so in her honor I named this dessert for her.

Ingredients For mom's summer fruit dessert

    angel food cake
  • 1-8 oz. pkg
    cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 c
    confectioners' sugar
  • 8 oz
    frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 5 - 6
    peaches,plums or nectarines, sliced or chunked
  • 1 - 2 pkg
    fresh blueberries
  • 1 -2 pt
    fresh strawberries, sliced or chunked

How To Make mom's summer fruit dessert

    Tear the angel food into little pieces.

    Place angel food into a large bowl.
  • 3
    Mix together the cream cheese, milk, sugar and the whipped topping.

    In a large bowl, alternate the layers of cake, cream cheese mixture and fruit.

    Chill for one to two hours.
