    butter cake mix, divided [we use duncan hines]
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 c
    pecans or walnuts, finely chopped

    eggs
  • 1/3 c
    oil
  • 1/4 c
    water
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    confectioners' sugar
  • 1 OR 2 Tbsp
    milk

    PREHEAT OVEN TO 375 DEGREES

    GREASE AND FLOUR A 10 INCH TUBE PAN OR BUNDT PAN.

    STREUSEL FILLING:

    COMINE 2 TBSP. CAKE MIX, BROWN SUGAR AND CINNAMON... STIR IN NUTS... SET ASIDE

    CAKE:

    MIX CAKE MIX, EGGS, SOUR CREAM, OIL, WATER AND GRANULATED SUGAR IN A BOWL.

    BEAT AT MEDIUM SPEED FOR 2 MINUTES.

    POUR TWO-THIRDS OF BATTER INTO PAN.

    SPRINKLE STREUSEL FILLING NOW OVER THE BATTER.

    SPOON REMAINING BATTER EVENLY OVER THE FILLING.

    BAKE FOR 45-55 MINUTES OR UNTIL A TOOTHPICK INSERTED IN CENTER COMES OUT CLEAN.
