- FOR CAKE

1/2 cshortening

1 3/4 csugar

2 cbuttermilk

3 cflour

2 tspbaking soda

3-4 tspcinnamon

1 tspvanilla
- FOR ICING

1 cbrown sugar, firmly packed

2 Tbspmilk

2 Tbspcoconut
How To Make mom's eggless cake recipe

1For cake In mixer mix all the cake ingredients together alternating the milk and flour

2Pour into a greased and floured 13"x9" cake pan

3Bake in a 350 degree oven for 35 min or until done in the middle. Test by inserting knife in middle and if comes out clean done

4Icing Combine 1 cup brown sugar 2 tbls milk 2 tbls coconut (add more to your taste)

5Mix and sprinkle on top of cake while cake is still hot Put under broiler till bubbles
