On occasion, I find cheesecake to be way too rich. Don't get me wrong, its absolutely delicious. However, I often want the flavor and creaminess without the heaviness. This is the answer! My mom made this for years and it was always our favorite. I know it will be your favorite go-to recipe too!!

Ingredients For mom's cheese pie

  • CRUST
  • 1/4 lb
    butter, softened
  • 4 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1
    egg
  • FILLING
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese
  • 5 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1 Tbsp
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 c
    milk, low-fat or whole
  • cinnamon to taste

How To Make mom's cheese pie

    Preheat oven to 275 degrees. In a mixer, add all crust ingredients (butter, sugar, flour, baking powder and egg) and mix on medium speed until well blended. Spread evenly over bottom and sides of an 8x8 glass dish.

    Pour filling into crust in dish. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon. Bake @ 275 degrees for 1 hour. Let cool in oven - cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
