Place two strips next to each other, pinching the seams to create one wide strip. Sprinkle bottom half with raisins and pecans. Fold over; press to seal. Twist dough into a circle; seal ends. Repeat with remaining rolls. Bakes cakes a few inches apart on a cookie sheet 17 - 20 minutes. Ice them while they are warm; sprinkle with sugar crystals. You can make your sugar crystals by adding food coloring to granulated sugar. Sometimes you can find the purple crystals in the craft stores such as Hobby Lobby. Some grocers carry it during Mardi Gras. So cute and good; sorry, no baby in them!!
