What if blueberry cake and a Milky Way candy bar were combined? This was the inspiration to create this cake. The frosting is so good and it's great with a glass of milk.

  • CAKE
  • 1 3/4 c
    crushed chocolate malt balls
  • 3
    king size Milky Way bars, sliced
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    sea salt
  • 1 c
    granulated sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 Tbsp
    malted milk powder
  • 1/2 c
    margarine, melted
  • 4
    egg whites
  • 4 Tbsp
    caramel ice cream topping, divided
  • 1 1/2 c
    chocolate milk
  • 1 pt
    fresh blueberries
  • MILKY WAY FROSTING
  • 1 tube
    frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1/2 c
    caramel ice cream topping
  • 16 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 c
    chocolate syrup
  • 3
    fun size Milky Way bars, sliced

How To Make milky way blueberry cake

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. To make the cake, grease and flour an 8-inch square baking dish. Add crushed malted milk balls and sliced Milky Way bars and mix well.

    In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, sea salt, sugar, cocoa and malted milk powder.

    In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted margarine, egg whites, 2 tablespoons caramel ice cream topping and chocolate milk.

    Mix in the dry ingredients using an electric mixer on low speed until smooth.

    Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish. Drizzle with remaining caramel ice cream topping. Mix blueberries into the other half, then pour into the baking dish.

    Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean.

    To make the Milky Way frosting, combine whipped topping, caramel ice cream topping, cream cheese and chocolate syrup in a large bowl. Whisk together until blended. Mix in sliced Milky Way bars. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.

    Spread the frosting onto the cake. Garnish with sliced Milky Way bars and blueberries.
