1 csifted powdered sugar

How To Make mennonite maple walnut cake

1Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly coat an 8-square baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

2Beat together butter, eggs, and syrup.

3Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt, and stir into butter mixture gradually. Beat with whisk until smooth fold in walnuts.

4Pour into a greased square pan and bake 25 to 30 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.

5Let cool completely in pan on wire rack before frosting.

6To make frosting, Melt butter and blend in the powdered sugar. Add just enough maple syrup yo bring it to spreading consistency.

7Frost top of cake and serve.
