All my cupcake recipes start with a cake mixing and a container of prepared frosting. Even though I work full time, I want to make fun treats for my family and co-workers. Using mixes allows me (and you!) to have great desserts in no time.

Ingredients For margarita cupcakes

  • CUPCAKES
  • 1
    yellow cake mix
  • non-alcoholic margarita mix (liquid type)
  • FROSTING
  • 1
    (16-oz.size)ready made cream cheese frosting
  • 2 Tbsp
    lime juice

How To Make margarita cupcakes

    Mix cake mix according to package directions, EXCEPT substitute equal quantity of margarita mix for water.

    Filled lined cupcake tins about 1/3 full with batter. Bake as directed on box.

    Mix lime juice with prepared frosting. After cupcakes are cooled completely, frost. Decorate tops with yellow sugar and 1/4 of a lime jelly candy, if desired.
