More island favorites. This is a very common bread you see when it's mango season.

Ingredients For mango bread

  • 2 c
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1/4 c
    oil
  • 1/2 c
    butter, melted
  • 1/4 c
    nuts, chopped (your choice)
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 c
    mangoes, finely chopped
  • 3
    eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c
    raisins (opt.)

How To Make mango bread

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.

    Sift dry ingredients together into a large mixing bowl. Make a well and place all other ingredients into the well, blend all ingredient together but do not over mix.

    Pour into greased loaf pan let stand for 15 minutes, then bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Do a toothpick test, if it comes out clean, it's done.
  • 4
    Remove from heat onto a wire rack, let cool.
