A lower fat version of this favorite dessert. If you don’t have dry buttermilk powder, use regular buttermilk; mix it in with the wet ingredients and omit the water.

2 Tbspdry buttermilk powder

How To Make low fat gingerbread

1Preheat oven to 350 F. Coat an 8-inch square baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

2Combine flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, sugar and buttermilk powder in a large mixingl bowl. Whisk together until blended.

3Add remaining ingredients and stir until combined.

4Pour into prepared pan and bake 25 minutes, or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.

5Cool in pan on wire rack. Serve warm or room temperature with a dollop of whipped cream.
