Good easy glaze for Angel Food cake.

Ingredients For lemon glaze for cakes

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    milk
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 c
    sifted confectioner's sugar (icing sugar)
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp
    lemon rind, grated

How To Make lemon glaze for cakes

    Heat milk and butter together. Measure sugar into a bowl, add hot liquid, and stir until smooth.
  • 2
    Then add the lemon juice and rind. Pour over cake, letting it run down the sides.

    Yield: makes enough for glaze to cover a 9 inch or 10 inch tube cake. I like this especially well on Angel Food cake.
