This is a great frosting for your favorite lemon cake. You can use orange zest instead of lemon.

Ingredients For lemon cream cheese frosting

12 ounces cream cheese, chilled

1/4 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature

2 cups powdered sugar

2 teaspoons lemon zest

1 teaspoon vanilla

3 tablespoons sour cream
How To Make lemon cream cheese frosting

1In the bowl of a stand mixer with a paddle attachment, beat the cream cheese with the butter until thoroughly combined. Beat in the sugar and then the lemon zest, vanilla and sour cream.

2Cover and refrigerate for about 30 minutes before using to frost cake. (will keep in an air tight containter in the refrigerator for one week).
