I have some catering, mostly small affairs and at church events. This is the recipe that I have sold the most. It gets moe compliments than any other recipe that I make.

Ingredients For kahlua pound cake

  • 1 box
    devil's food cake mix
  • 3 1/2 oz
    chocolte instant pudding mix
  • 1/2 c
    oil
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 4 lg
    eggs
  • 1/4 c
    bourbon
  • 1/4 c
    kahlua
  • coffee glaze
  • 2 c
    confectioners sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    cocoa powder - or more depending upon taste
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 3/4 c
    double strength coffee
  • small amount kahlua

How To Make kahlua pound cake

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients together. Pour into a well greased and floured bundt pan or you can use regular 9 inch cake pans. Bake 50 minutes. Remove from oven and place on wire rack to cool. Glaze when thoroughly cool with coffe glaze.

    COFFEE GLAZE: Combine confectioners sugar and cocoa, mixing well. Combine coffee, small amount of kahlua and vanilla. Add coffee mixture to confectioners sugar very slowly, only a small amount at a time, until you reach a glaze-like consistency but not too runny.
