I have had this recipe since I was in high school. I don't know who or where I got it from or how it got it's name. I make it quite often, and I have never had a bad reaction. I think you will like it. Also a good recipe to have if you go apple picking.

Ingredients For jewish apple cake

  • 4
    eggs
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    oil
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 4 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 4 tsp
    baking powder
  • 5-6
    apples (chopped)
  • 1 c
    nuts (optional)
  • 1/4 c
    sugar cinnamon mixture (more or less)

How To Make jewish apple cake

    Preheat oven to 350*

    In large bowl beat eggs.

    Gradually add sugar, oil, and vanilla until well mixed.

    In separate bowl combine all of the dry ingredients.

    Start adding dry ingredients to the wet. Batter will be very thick!

    After chopping the apples fold them into the batter. Nuts also if useing them.

    Spread into a 13X9 baking dish and sprinkle with cinnamon/sugar mixture. (I like alot.)

    Bake for 50-60 mins. or until toothpick comes out clean
