This has been a favorite in my family for many years.It's so good on a hot summer day.You can use any flavor Jello.Be creative and enjoy!!!!

Ingredients For jello poke cake

  • 1 box betty crocker supermoist cake mix (any flavor) baked to pkg.directions in an 9x12 inch cake pan & cooled completely
  • 1-cup boiling water
  • 1-(4oz) package of your favorite jello flavor
  • 1/2 -cup cold water
  • 1-large container of cool whip topping (any variety)
  • garnish with your favorite fruit if desired (once cake is completely chilled and topped with cool whip)

How To Make jello poke cake

  • 1
    Prepare your cake as directed and cool completely
  • 2
    With the handle of a wooden spoon poke random holes all over the top of cake
  • 3
    Disolve the Jello in a small mixing bowl or a 2 cup measuring cup by pouring the 1 cup of boiling water over it and mixing well
  • 4
    Add the 1/2 Cup of cold water and mix well
  • 5
    Spoon the Jello over the top of the cake allowing it to flow into the holes using all the Jello
  • 6
    Frost the cake with the Cool Whip Topping and garnish with your favorite fresh fruit if desired
