I was lucky to have Jeannies in my life. One, who was the wife of my friend Mike, brought me this cheesecake in 1989. The other was my wife for 32 years who made this for me anytime I asked. It is magical because how could anything this easy be so good.

Ingredients For jeannies' magical strawberry cheesecake

2 pkg8 oz packages of cream cheese

2 cpowdered sugar

2 ccoolwhip or rediwhip

1 tspvanilla extract

1store bought graham cracker crust

2 pkgstrawberries, cut up

1 pkgstrawberry glaze
- HOMEMADE MAGICAL CHEESECAKE CRUST

1 ccrushed vanilla wafers
-
1 ccrushed cake type ice cream cones (joy)

1/2 cbutter, melted
-
1 tspvanilla extract
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
1/3 csugar
How To Make jeannies' magical strawberry cheesecake

1Bake crust at 350 degrees for 9 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes.

2Blend together first four ingredients. Add to baked and cooled 9 inch pie shell.

3Cover with strawberry glaze and strawberries.

4Chill before serving.

6Alternately, you can make my Homemade Magical Cheesecake Crust which follows:

7Add the two cups of crushed vanilla crumbs to bowl. Mix remaining ingredients into melted butter. Mix melted butter mix with crumb mix by hand.

8Press into 9 inch pan, over bottom and up the side.

9Bake for 9 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool for 10 minutes. Use in place of store bought crust.
