I found the basic cheese cake recipe in the Southern Living Little Book of Cheese Cakes. I modified the recipe to my liking add strawberries inside and on top under a layer of chocolate sauce. I tried this recipe and say it is family tested and true my husband ate a slice and said it was very good to him.

  • STRAWBERRIES
  • 3 c
    sliced
  • 4 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    7-up
  • 2 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • CHOCOLATE SAUCE
  • 1 c
    semi sweet morsels
  • 1/4 c
    heavy cream
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

    10 INCH CHEESE CAKE PAN SHINNING KIND IS BEST OVEN PREHEATED ON 350

    WHIP THE BUTTER IN MIXER UNTIL CREAMY ADD THE SUGAR, THEN ADD THE VANILLA, ADD THE 1 CUP OF FLOUR SLOWLY BEAT ABOUT 3 MIN ON HIGH ADD THE NUTS AND BEAT ANOTHER 2 MIN

    LIGHTLY GREASE THE PAN. PRESS THE MIXTURE DOWN IN THE BOTTOM AND 1 INCH UP SIDE. BAKE IN OVEN 12 MIN. TAKE OUT AND SET ASIDE

    CREAM THE CREAM CHEESE TIL SMOOTH AND FLUFFY. ADD ONE CUP OF SUGAR BEATING WELL. ADD EGGS ONE AT A TIME BEATING TIL MIX IN WELL STIR IN 1/2 TEASPOON OF VANILLA BEAT ONE MORE MIN. DO NOT OVER BEAT THE CREAM CEHEESE MIXTURE.

    POUR IN THE PAN ABOUT HALF THE MIXTURE. 1 1/2 CUPS OF SLICED STRAWBERRIES MIX WITH ABOUT 2 TBL OF SUGAR AND 1 TEASPOON OF LEMON JUICE, MIX AND COVER THE CHEESE LAYER IN PAN

    ADD THE REST OF THE MIXTURE AND COVER WELL. PLACE ON A COOKIE SHEET BAKE IN THE OVEN AT 375 DEGREES ABOUT 35 MIN OR UNTIL THE CREAM CHEESE HAS SET. THE CENTER WILL BE WIGGLY. REMOVE FORM THE OVEN

    MIX SOUR CREAM 3 TLB SUGAR AND 1/2 TSP OF VANILLA AND POUR ON TOP OF CHEESE CAKE. THEN BAKE IN OVEN AT 400 DEGREES FOR 5 MIN. REMOVE FROM OVEN PLACE ON WIRE RACK. RUN A KNIFE AROUND THE SIDE OF THE CAKE TO LOOSEN FROM THE PAN AND ALLOW TO COOL AT ROOM TEMP BEFORE REMOVING FROM THE PAN.

    REMOVE FROM THE PAN AND PLACE ON PLATE IN SAUCE POT OVER MED. HEAT ADD 1 CUP SUGAR, 1 CUP 7-UP 2 TLB CORNSTARCH AND 1 1/2 CUPS SLICE STRAWBERRIES. STIR OVER HEAT UNTIL THICK .

    ADD STRAWBERRY MIXTURE TO THE TOP OF THE CHEESE CAKE LET STAND IN THE REFRIEGRATOR ABOUT AN HOUR.

    IN A SUACE PAN MIX 1/4 CUP HEAVY CREAM WITH THE 1 CUP OF SEMI SWEET MORSEL AND 1 TSP OF VANILLA. STIR TILL MELTED SMOOTH.

    TAKE THE CHEESE CAKE OUT OF THE REFR. AND ADD THE CHOCOLATE SAUCE SLOWLY OVER THE TOP OF CHEESE CAKE. PLACE BACK IN THE REFRIGERATOR AND LET STAND 8 HRS BEFORE CUTTING.
