This is one of my grandmother's long time recipes and one of my favorites. You'll notice a couple of old school baking with "hand stir" and "grease and flour" pan. Grandma has never deviated from that. And who am I to argue with and 97 year old pro. :)

Ingredients For hummingbird cake

3 csifted all purpose flour

2 csugar
-
1 tspsalt

1 tspbaking soda

1 tspcinnamon

3eggs
-
1 1/2 cvegetable oil

1 1/2 ccrushed pineapple

1 1/2 cbananas,ripe, mashed

1 cchopped pecans
-
1 1/2 tspvanilla
How To Make hummingbird cake

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease and flour a 9 x 13 pan.

2Hand stir the first five ingredients in a large bowl.

3Add oil and eggs and stir.

4Add fruits, nuts, and vanilla, mix well.

5Pour batter into cake pan and bake for 30 minutes.
