I have made banana bread for as long as I can remember. I tweeked my recipe for years and I believe I hit the nail on the head with this one. I hope you love it.

Ingredients For honeys banana bread

  • 3 1/2 cups
    flour
  • 2
    eggs
  • 5
    ripe bananas
  • 1/8 tsp
    almond extract
  • 1 cup
    sugar
  • 1 cup
    brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup
    oil
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 pinch
    salt
  • ICING
  • 1 cup
    powdered sugar
  • 1/8 tsp
    almond extract
  • 2 tsp
    butter softened
  • pinch
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    heavy cream

How To Make honeys banana bread

    Preheat oven to to 350

    Greese a large loaf pan and set aside

    In large mixing bowl with fork cream your 5 bananas and your 2 eggs cream until smooth add your 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of brown sugar cream until smooth

    Add your 3 1/2 cups of flour to your mixture slowly cream in flour

    Add your 2 1/2 tsp baking soda and your 1/4 cup of oil add your 2 tsp of vanilla and your 1/8 tsp of almond extract and your pinch of salt.

    Stir together with fork until smooth

    Pour into a large loaf pan and bake for about 45 min its ready when inserting a tooth pick and it comes out clean

    While baking your bread start your icing

    Cream your 2 tsp of butter in small bowl add the pinch of salt and start adding in the 1 cup of powered sugar add your 1/8 tsp of almond extract and the 2 tsp heavy cream. Cream together until smooth

    After your bread is ready take out of the loaf pan and place on a decorative plate

    While bread is still hot top with the icing it will run down the sides to make a elegant banana bread.
