I am so bummed I couldn't find this recipe before Christmas. I happened to be going through some papers and couldn't believe what I was seeing for I thought I had lost the recipe..this is the YUMMIEST cake you will ever eat!

Ingredients For holiday pound cake

1 3/4 cbutter
-
8eggs..yes 8!!

3 3/4 call purpose flour
-
2 csugar
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
1 tspbaking powder
-
1 tspvanilla
-
1 can(20 ounce) pineapple tidbits, drained

1 jar(10 ounce) maraschino cherries, drained and cut into halves

2 cpecans or your favorite nut
How To Make holiday pound cake

1Sift together flour, salt and baking powder. In separate bowl cream butter and sugar. Add eggs 1 at a time. Add vanilla. Add flour mixture blend well. Now add nuts, cherries and pineapple.

2Pour into (2) 9x5 loaf pans, greased, and floured well.. and Or a Bundt or tube pan..bake 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees. Let cool in pan for about 10 minutes..invert onto cooling rack.
