I call this "Holiday" because it is colorful when sliced. My mom gave me this recipe many years ago.

Ingredients For holiday cream cheese cake

8 ozcream cheese, softened

1 cbutter, softened
-
1 1/2 csugar
-
1 1/2 tspvanilla extract
-
4eggs
-
2 1/4 ccake flour, sifted
-
1 1/2 tspbaking powder
-
8 ozjar of red marachino cherries, snipped in pieces

8 ozjar of green marachino cherries, snipped in pieces
-
1/2 cwalnuts, chopped
- GLAZE -

1 1/2 cconfectioners sugar

2 Tbspmilk
How To Make holiday cream cheese cake

1Preheat oven: 325 degrees...Grease tube pan; set aside.

2In large bowl: cream together cream cheese, butter, sugar & vanilla. Add eggs; 1 at a time. Gradually add 2 cups of flour & baking powder.

3In smaller bowl: add the remaining 1/4 cup flour, red & green cherries, & nuts; mix together till coated with the flour. Add this mixture to the creamed mixture until well combined.

4Pour in the prepared pan & bake for 1 hour 20 minutes. Cool about 5 minutes & remove from pan.

5GLAZE - Mix together the confectioners sugar & milk; drizzle over cake.
