I created this new poke cake recipe. It is filled with salted butterscotch for the first time. It's gonna be delicious.

1yellow cake mix (15.25 ounce)

1/3 cvegetable oil

1 cbutterscotch ice cream topping

10buttercotch candies, chopped
- CREAM OF SALTED BUTTERSCOTCH

1 cheavy cream
-
3/4 cmelted margarine
-
3/4 cbutterscotch syrup

2 tspsea salt
- SALTED BUTTERSCOTCH WHIPPED TOPPING

1 tubefrozen whipped topping, thawed

3/4 cbutterscotch ice cream topping

8 ozcream cheese,softened

2 tspsea salt
How To Make salted butterscotch poke cake

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking dish. Add butterscotch chips

3Beat cake mix, water, eggs, oil, and butterscotch ice cream topping together in a bowl using an electric mixer on medium speed until batter is smooth, about 2 minutes.

4Pour batter into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with chopped butterscotch candies.

5Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean for 30 to 35 minutes. Poke the holes into the cake with a wooden skewer.

6To make Cream of Salted Butterscotch: in a medium saucepan combine heavy cream, margarine, butterscotch syrup, and sea salt over medium heat stirring constantly for 5 minutes. Remove the heat.

7Pour over the warm cake with holes. Cool completely; about 1 hour.

8To make Salted Butterscotch Whipped Topping: in a medium bowl, combine whipped topping, butterscotch ice cream topping, cream cheese, and sea salt well until smooth.

9Spread over the cake and sprinkle with remaining chopped butterscotch candies.
