Just in time for Halloween...this dessert is wonderful. You can decorate by putting little small Halloween candy on top. Kids love these.

Halloween will be even sweeter if you make this magic nut cake. Very soft and moist, you taste the nutmeg and cinnamon in the cake. The cream cheese frosting gives it a sweet, buttery, and creamy topping. This pumpkin cake reminds us of a carrot cake.

Ingredients For halloween magic nut cake

  • CAKE
  • 3
    eggs
  • 16 oz
    canned pumpkin
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 3/4 c
    vegetable oil
  • 2 1/2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 3/4 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 3/4 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 c
    chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 c
    raisins (optional)
  • CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
  • 4 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 3 Tbsp
    softened butter
  • 2 1/4 c
    sifted powdered sugar

How To Make halloween magic nut cake

  • Eggs, oil, pumpkin, and water in a mixing bowl.

    Mix together the first 4 ingredients.
  • Remaining ingredients added to the mixing bowl.

    Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
  • Cake batter poured into a baking dish.

    Pour batter into a 9 x 13 Pyrex pan. Bake for 1 hour 15 minutes at 350 degrees or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Baked cake cooled.

    Wait until the cake is cool and mix the frosting.
  • Frosting ingredients in a mixing bowl.

    For the cream cheese frosting, add frosting ingredients to a mixer. Beat until well blended and creamy.
  • Frosting the cake.

    Frost the cake and enjoy.
