How To Make granma myhand’s orange sheet cake

  • 1
Mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and first portion of salt
  • 2
Cream butter and sugar til fluffy. Add eggs. Add orange zest and segments, and cranberries
  • 3
Alternating, gradually add flour and orange juice while mixing. Beat til nice and smooth
  • 4
Pour into a 11x14 pan and bake at 350 F for about 35 minutes
  • 5
THE GLAZE: Mix sugar and cornstarch in a sauce pan. Add the orange juice gradually, blending nicely to avoid lumps. Add the last bit of salt and butter, then heat this mixture over a medium hot fire til it turns into a Golden glossy glistening gleam of goodness
  • 6
Pour the glaze over the cake in the pan. I poke holes in the cake to help it soak in. Next time, I’m gonna use liquor instead of orange juice to make the glaze!
