A friend of ours had this recipe handed down to him from his grandmother in Maine. It's a different spin on cheesecake. It's very moist and delicious.

Ingredients For grandma's cheescake

  • FOR THE CRUST
  • 1 box
    cake mix, any flavor (minus 1 cup)
  • 1
    egg
  • 2 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • mix well. grease 13x9 cake pan, mold mixture into pan on bottom and sides
  • FILLING
  • 3
    8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 c
    reserved cake mix
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make grandma's cheescake

  • 1
    Mix the filling until well blended. Pour over crust. Bake at 300 degrees for 45-55 minutes. Cool completely before serving.

    Hints: for lemon cheesecake, use lemon cake mix. For strawberry cheesecake, use strawberry cake mix, etc. You can use pie filling of choice for the top.
