I love this easy to make carrot cake! Combine it with Tillie's White Sauce Frosting and you have the perfect not-too-sweet desert. Perfect for a fall finale to any meal. Or take it to a potluck.

Ingredients For grandma's carrot cake

2 csugar

1 ½ ccooking oil
-
4eggs
-
2 cflour
-
2 tspbaking soda
-
2 tspsalt
-
3 cgrated carrots
-
2 tspcinnamon
-
½ to ¾ cnuts ~ optional or adjustable amts to preference
How To Make grandma's carrot cake

1Grease and flour 8x12 OR 9x13 cake pan. Pre-heat oven to 350°. ( layer pans work fine too.)

2Mix together: sugar, cooking oil, eggs.

3Sift together and add to first mixture: flour, baking soda and salt.

4Add: grated carrots, cinnamon and nuts.

5Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Cool. Frost with Tillie's White Sauce Frosting.
