This cake looks plain, but is a big hit. You can also make it with a lemon cake mix.

Ingredients For gooey chocolate cake

  • 1 box
    chocolate cake mix
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, room temperature
  • 16 oz
    powdered sugar
  • 1/2 c
    butter, melted

How To Make gooey chocolate cake

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    Mix cake mix by directions on box.

    Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

    Pour cake mix in pan.

    Mix cream cheese, melted butter, and powdered sugar.

    Pour cream cheese mixture over cake mix.

    Bake for 35 minutes.
