    18 1/4-ounce package yellow cake mix
  • 1
    egg
  • 8 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • FILLING:
  • 1
    8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 8 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 1
    16-ounce box powdered sugar

How To Make gooey butter cake recipe

    Preheat your oven to 350* In large mixing bowl, mix together the cake mix, the egg and butter with mixer until very well blended. Pat the mixture onto bottom of a lightly greased 13x9" baking dish.

    Filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the eggs, vanilla and butter and beat until very well blended. Add the powdered sugar and mix well.

    Spread the filling over the cake batter and bake in oven for 40 to 50 minutes. The center should be a bit gooey.
