Ingredients For golden glory picnic cake

  • One pkg
    yellow cake mix prepared according to pkg instructions in 9 x 13" pan
  • 29 oz
    peach slices, well drained
  • 1 c
    light brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1 c
    slivered almonds
  • 1/4 c
    melted butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c
    heavy cream

How To Make golden glory picnic cake

  • 1
    Bake cake according to package instructions. When done remove from oven and quickly arrnage peackes over the top of the cake.

    Sprinkle with sugar, nutmeg and nuts. Pour melted butter over top, then pour cream on top of that.

    Return to over for 10 minutes until topping is lightly brown. Serve when cooled. EXCELLENT !
