Actually cake mix, with homeade peanut butter frosting. This one is requested by family and friends alot. I enjoy making it because its quick and easy. However, my favorite cakes are the ones I make from scratch (Granny's recipes).

Ingredients For ginger's peanut butter cake

  • 1 box
    yellow cake mix, prepared
  • PEANUT BUTTER FROSTING
  • 1 box
    powdered sugar (1 lb.)
  • 3 oz
    cream cheese, room temperature
  • 3 - 4* Tbsp
    peanut butter, creamy (i use jif) *heaped tbsp.
  • milk, a splash

How To Make ginger's peanut butter cake

    Preheat oven to 350.

    Prepare 2 - 8" or 9" round cake pans. Prepare cake mix per box directions, I substitute skim mild for the water. Divide evenly into pans and bake until toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely and frost.

    For the frosting: Beat cream cheese and peanut butter together, add powdered sugar and beat until creamy and smooth. If it is too stiff to spread add milk a few drops at a time to achieve desired consistency.
