Ingredients For german fruit cake
- SIFT TOGETHER

4 call purpose flour

2 tspbaking powder

1 tspcinnamon

1 tspsalt

1 tspcloves

1 tspfreshly grated nutmeg

1 tspallspice, ground
- CREAM TOGETHER

1/2 lbbutter

2 csugar
-
6eggs (one at a time)
- ADD ALTERNATING TO FLOUR MIXTURE

1 tspbaking soda (disolved in 1 1/4 c. buttermilk or sour cream)
- THEN ADD:

2 lbpecan halves

1 can#303 crushed pinapple, drained

2 lbred cherries, candied
-
1/2 lbwhite or golden raisens

1 qtsmuckers appricot preserves
How To Make german fruit cake

1Bake in 2-3 8 inch layer round pans.Bake 350 for 1 1/2 hours or until pick comes our clean.

2Frosting: 2 cups evaporated milk (canned cream) 2 cups sugar 6 egg yolks (only) 1/2 pound butter Cook & stir constantly over medium heat until thick (about 12 minutes) Remove from heat and add: 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 cups chopped pecans 2 cups flaked coconut Beat until thick and cooled Spread on cake.
