This is an old recipe that I never figured out how I got it. I am always asked to bring this to a pot luck or to a dinner. This is really good for a topping on a pan of brownies or a dish of ice cream. My family will just eat it out of the pan if I let them. Out of old blue recipe box.

Ingredients For german chocolate frosting

  • 2/3 c
    butter
  • 2 c
    brown sugar
  • 2 + c
    shredded coconut
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 + c
    chopped nuts

How To Make german chocolate frosting

    Add all ingredients to a pot. Bring to a boil. Turn down, simmer for 1 minute. Put on cake or brownies. Add more nuts or coconut to your taste.
