1 coatmeal

1/2 cshortening

1 cbrown sugar

topping:

1/2 stickbutter

1 cbrown sugar

1/4 cmilk

1 ccoconut
How To Make german chocolate cake

1Pour boiling water over oatmeal, and set aside.Cream shortening, sugar. Add eggs, Beat well. Sift flour and dry ingredients. Mix with creamed mixture. Pour into cake pan and bake at 350 degrees about 40 minutes.

2Pour topping over cake and broil til it melts.Garnish with cherry (if desired)
