This is another recipe from my mom's box...Hope you enjoy it as much as we do. My husband loves this and it is so very easy to make.

Ingredients For fruitcocktail cake

  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1 1/3 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 lg
    can of fruitcocktail
  • CAKE INGREDIUNTS
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 can
    chopped nuts (my favo is pecans)
  • 1/3 c
    coconut
  • BROWN SUGAR MIXTURE FOR TOP OF CAKE
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    canned milk
  • 1/3 c
    butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • HOT MIXTURE USED LAST ON CAKE

How To Make fruitcocktail cake

  • 1
    mix the flour,dugar,baking soda, salt,eggs, and fruitcocktail in a large bowl. Pour into a prepared 9x13 cake pan. Over the top sprinkle the brown sugar mixture and bake at 350 for 40 mins
  • 2
    remove from oven and liberally punch the top with a knife and pour over the hot mixture. seve warm or cold.
