This is a cake my Grandmother would make . My Dad requested it on his birthday every year, tho we had it more often than 1x a year.

Ingredients For fruit cocktail cake

  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 lg
    eggs
  • 1 lg
    can of fruit cocktail w/juice
  • 1 stick
    butter, cold
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 can
    evaperated canned milk
  • 3 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1/2 c
    coconut
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar

How To Make fruit cocktail cake

  • 1
    combine- 1 1/2 cups sugar - 1/2 tsp salt -2 tsp soda - 2 cups of flour
  • 2
    add - 2 eggs - 1 large can of fruitcocktal w/juice -

    Mix and pour into greased 8x12 cake pan. Sprinkle brown sugar over cake. Cook in preheated 350degree oven for 45 minutes

    in a sauce pan add--- butter-sugar-evaperated milk. Cook until thick. ADD-vanilla-coconut

    frost cake when cool.
